No filter. Really.
I took these images using my humble, unassuming Samsung Pocket (now Josh's) when I went to Tacloban a second time this summer.
I was standing on the San Juanico bridge (connecting Leyte and Samar), with barely a few minutes to spare before night set in. But the sunset was happening behind me when I took this picture, which was why I found it spectacular that a sunrise-like light was coming from behind Samar island.
This place was just so battered by the storm -- I know, I saw the damage first hand. These rays are thus comforting to see. They are like promises in the form of light.
